Simulation Controls
The simulation is controlled with both the keyboard and the Simulation drop down menu.
The Simulation Menu
Below is a screen shot of the simulation menu:

From this menu you can
- End the Simulation which will allow you to open another Profile.
- Turn the display of the GPS tracks on or off.
- Toggle the display of the lay lines, two boat circle and the Wind indicators.
- If you are collecting heading data (as apposed to just COG) you can use that for determining the boat orientation.
- If you are collecting speed over water, 'Show Current' will toggle the current indicator
- Pause the Simulation
- Reverse the Simulation or change the Simulation rate.
- Switch the units from feet to meters.
Keyboard Controls
Many of the functions available in the Simulation Menu are also available from the keyboard.
- The numeric keys control the simulation rate,
- '0' pauses the simulation
- '1' sets the rate to normal speed
- '2' sets the rate to 2x
- '3' sets the rate to 4x
- '4' sets the rate to 8x
- '5' sets the rate to 16x
- and '6' sets the rate to 32x
- Pressing the 'b' key will run the simulation 'b'ackward.
- Pressing the 'n' key will run the simulation forwards or 'n'ormal.
- The 'f' key has a special function, it allows you to check the simulation frame rate. Pressing 'f' will momentarily display the frame rate and milliseconds per frame under the camera heading.
The 3D navigation controls and simulation controls work together.
The Simulation Slider
Between the 3D screen and the data table at the bottom there is a slider control that allows you to change the simulation time by sliding the control. Clicking the control to the right or left of the slider will advance or retard the simulation time by 10 seconds.
To the left of the slider control the elapsed time (as measured from the first timestamp recorded for a boat) is displayed.
To the right of the slider control the simulation rate is displayed.
